Interceptor Heartworm Medication prevents heartworm disease and controls and removes adult hookworms, adult roundworms and whipworms. Once-a-month Interceptor flavor tabs are palatable and willingly consumed by most dogs and cats. Interceptor heartworm medication contains milbemycin oxime, a formulation that disrupts nerve transmission within parasites leading to parasite death. Interceptor heartworm treatment in the green package is formulated for dogs 11-25 lbs and cats 1.5-6 pounds. Interceptor for Dogs should not be used for puppies under four weeks of age or two pounds bodyweight. Interceptor for Cats should not be used for kittens under four weeks of age and 1.5 pounds of body weight. Interceptor Heartworm Medication for Dogs and Cats requires a prescription.

Do not use in puppies less than four weeks of age and less than two pounds of body weight.
