Dematters are available in two styles, comb style or rake style. The style you use depends on what is most comfortable in your hand. All comb style dematters have a safety thumb guard. All of the dematters that we sell feature stainless steel saw edge blades. In many cases, using a dematter is the only choice other that clipping the animal down to the skin. A dematter will saw through the mats and allow you to salvage some of the coat length. Replacement blades available.
